Hi! I’m a freelance architectural and interior design photographer based in Calgary, Alberta. My first dive into commercial photography was in university, while studying for a journalism degree. A developing eye for interesting composition and lighting along with some passionate gear-head friends led to more time spent photographing expensive cars and fashion models than writing any kind of hard news articles. Luckily this was no digression, and in fact led to my first publications in international magazines. As it turns out, the process of location scouting, set styling and lighting were more appealing to me than the strict documentarian style of photojournalism. I developed a passion for creating images from the ground up, rather than only capturing moments as they passed. My current style combines both the journalistic documentation of time as light changes a space with the preparation and thoughtful consideration taken to perfect a commercial image. I am fortunate now to have built a career capturing spaces for architects and designers in exactly this manner, and I am grateful for the trust my clients place in my work.
